A realtor is a person with a license to purchase and sell real estate. While often referred to as a real estate agent, realtors belong to a different association and are held to a more strict code of ethics. Executors will work with realtor / real estate agents when selling property of the estate and should factor in any commission fees into their projected net worth at the completion of the estate administration process.
