Non sufficient funds (NSF) is a term to indicate that a bank account does not have enough funds to make the required transaction (ie wire, cheque, card etc). Executors need to manage the bank accounts of the estate to ensure required services are being paid and the necessary funds have been made available. Mismanagement of these cash balances can result in disruption of services as well as costly NSF fees for the estate.
