The 6th & 102nd District Courts are housed in the Red River County Courthouse between N Walnut & N Cedar Streets at Monroe St. The courthouse clock, nicknamed Old Red rings on the hour since May 27, 1885, until 1961. After being repaired it's performed (tolled) quite well. 🏗️ The courthouse was built of limestone in the Renaissance Revival & Second Empire style, in 1884-5. Someday by contrast - part Victorian, part Gothic, & part Italian Renaissance styles. Anyway you describe it, it's a beautiful, long lasting, functional, bldg.
