The court completely screwed me over by not telling me that I had a court date. I received a ticket and today was the day I had to pay it before I had a warrant, and I was going to fight it but they never told me that I had a court date today, or that they rescheduled it. When I went down to tell them that I haven’t received anything in the mail, she said that I was supposed to go in today, but that I couldn’t because they automatically rescheduled without my knowledge
If court starts at 9am and you dont have a lawyer yet....Come after 11. The judge will show up late around 10am they only call people with lawyers first. Then there is a 15 minute recess at about 1130 that last about 30minutes. And then lunch again around 1245 until 2pm. Where they just start getting to the people with public defenders. This happens predictably everytime. Better to go to work for a half a day and then come in then sit here for 6 hours plus just waiting.
They don't like to answer the phone. They put a automated system in place that talks you to death and then when you follow the steps to speak with a clerk by pressing 1 it hangs up on you. I've been trying to contact them for over 4 months and I've literally have spoken to a live person once and it was quick.
Rude entitled never answers phone disappointing Suffolk criminal justice system is a joke
