I went to the Pender County Clerk of Court office to pick up some papers for a friend. Parking is available on the street as well as in the parking lot behind the building. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only one visitor at a time is allowed inside, and everyone must be masked. The officer on duty took my information and asked me to wait on the covered porch. A clerk came out to find out more about request and when the papers I had come for were located, she brought them back out to me. Everyone I encountered there was very friendly and helpful. I felt relieved not having to go inside at this time, and they were very considerate in handling my request from the porch. Quite safe to do business there, even at a time of critical pandemic spread in the county.
