Figure out Virginia probate
I cannot attest to the level of justice or fairness of the court, but it is one of most unique Virginia courthouses that I’ve visited. It has a Confederate memorial out in front on Main with the names of the Orange dead all around it. It looks very much like the one in Madison, which I presume had the same designer. Also on the grounds are a sign for James Madison and Montpelier, General and President Zachary Taylor, and the dead from the War of Independence. Would recommend a visit if in Orange just to walk about the grounds or something like that. Cheers.
My mother died a few years ago and I inherited land down here. The court was so helpful in getting the land properly registered to me! Everyone was so nice and understanding!
