Went to go get some paperwork for my deceased mother notarized and all the lady told me was that it can't be notarized. Isn't that the job of a courthouse to have a notary? Every other county will notarize paperwork but Liberty County can't?
Horrible. These clerks are so lazy they can't pick up a phone and call the Hinesville PD across the street for contact information to serve a no contact order. Evidently they thought the Hinesville PD will give the information to the victim (obviously they didn't). Their other suggestion was for us to "STALK" the suspect to get the information for them. They're a joke and should be removed from public service. How you gonna work for the county courthouse and suggest a civilian commit a crime because you're too incompetent to do your job correctly? Edit: Hinesville PD agreed with me and said they're more than willing to share a redacted police report with the Liberty County Courthouse, but not with us. Like I told the courthouse. Once again, the issue is laziness and incompetence. Edit 2: This county is a joke. Never had anything run smooth except for vehicle registration, which is great. The judge is a joke, he laughed at my wife about us wanting a no contact order for stalking. It's all jokes till someone ends up getting hurt. Then everyone wants to know how it got to this point. One day something WILL happen in Liberty county and there's gonna be accusations that the county didn't do enough. When it does please believe them. Chances are they are telling the truth. This county is a damn joke. They don't give a damn about protecting woman and children.
