Vince Dean double charging for 30 year old speeding violations Vince Dean the criminal court clerk has been mishandling/wasting the operating money coming into his department since 2015. In 2016 he begged the county comission for $300,000 to pull his office out of the "Red". Dean explained the reason for the large deficit was due to such little return on state fines and felony reimbursement monies. Dean also said that the citizens accused of crimes in the jurisdiction of his office, have past due balances which were going un paid. Dean devised a plan to boost cash flow by going back to 1990 and charging for speeding fines and other court cost which he claims were never paid; however, many folks have come forward stating the oposite and alleging that Dean's office has charged them twice! Abraham Lincoln once said: Never stir up litigation. A worse man can scarcely be found than one who does this. Who can be nearly a friend, than he who habitually overhauls the register of deeds in search of defects in titles, whereon to stir up strife, and put money in his pocket? Dean told the county commission, most of time our clientel is not going to be truthful, "After all, we are not dealing with people on their way home from Bible study. We are dealing with people involved in criminal activity". This is what happens when you elect a law clerk who has nothing more than a high school education. You get por leadership, poor decision making, and it bankrupts county government.
