Came in to renew passport for my kids, when I called was told by the supervisor to print a parental concent form online, even presented to one of the employee was informed the form had expired. Also, the supervisor wouldn't take passport as a form of id as specifically stated on the website. It was a waste of my time, on my only day off. To be fair, the last who took our picture Karen was very nice and kind . I understand that dealing with state employees is usually not a pleasant experience but they need to at least have some knowledge about forms. In addition, I was told that their office closes at 4pm. We were delayed due to the camera used for passport pictures being DEAD. Karen fixed promptly, and ead very apologetic. There was still people coming in after 4 and getting helped. Some security members made us feel EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Karen was a saint.
Working in the legal field, I spend a lot of time at the Charlotte County Clerk's Office in Punta Gorda, Florida filing documents for my clients and I am always treated with respect. All of the staff there are AWESOME and professional, yet friendly and helpful to everyone that come into their office. The ladies at the windows where you file documents and that you talk to are the BEST and ALWAYS willing to HELP everyone. Tell them that you saw this review that Jack Cutter posted and don't forget to say "THANK YOU" to them for helping you.
