When you deal with a Government entity you really don't expect there to be much help, or hand holding, or anyone going above and beyond, but that was not the case with the ROW office. Each time I called I got right through to a live, helpful person who took the time to answer all of my questions and walk me through the process of opening an Estate during Covid. I knew they were behind a bit since the office is closed on the public. I called to check the status of the Estate being opened, explained a situation we were now facing and a few hours later we got the call the documents were ready for pick up. Thank you to the ladies at the Register of Wills office. The only name I remember is Nancy. Thank you all for your help, for being patient, and kind and helpful and going above and beyond when I am sure your jobs are far more challenging than ever at the moment. Your extra efforts are sincerely appreciated by my family!
When I first called this office, I felt kind of at a loss, also from recent death in the family feeling overwhelmed. The lady that I spoke at the office Donna was very detailed, helpful, patient and professional. Thank you again ma’am.
I travel here for work almost weekly. The staff is courteous and informative. If they do not know the answer, they will figure it out. It is the friendliest place in the courthouse which is good since many forced to visit are experiencing hard times.
I found this Govt office to be VERY helpful! Upon my Father’s passing I came to open the estate and discovered the Will was not valid. They had a supervisor discuss it with me and they walked me through each step of what I needed to do. The receptionist (I think her name is Lyn) is very knowledgeable and efficient. Another woman named Michele helped me with a schedule of deadlines where different things had to be filed (inventory, accounting etc) and she told me to take pictures of all the checks which was helpful. They ran the newspaper ad for creditors and helped me get bond insurance. Tina Tarburton was the auditor and she was fast and efficient as well. I don’t understand the low ratings by others. My experience was very positive especially being that I was grieving the loss of my Dad so I had a bit of brain fog. If you are unsure, just call and ask what to do next and they will tell you.
Every one I dealt with was professional and pleasant. I received professional and quick service handling my deceased wife's estate.
